Món bún sứa Phan Rang được gọi là nổi tiếng với dân phượt bụi bởi món ăn ngon, giá cả lại bình dân nữa. Đặc biệt, về cách nấu bún sứa của người Ninh Thuận rất hay, nước lèo phải được nấu bằng cá liệt, loại cá tuy nhỏ nhưng khi nấu lên lại có vị ngọt đậm đà. Về nguyên liệu, người địa phương cũng chú trọng đến chất riêng, nên sẽ không dùng thịt mà chủ yếu là chả cá, sứa, cá và nêm nêm với rất ít gia vị.
